MOBIS North America R&D Center in Farmington Hills MI, a branch of Hyundai MOBIS R&D Div., is looking for experienced Engineers, who are eager to join a rapidly expanding company. Current R&D center in Farmington Hills will be relocated to new building in Plymouth MI, during 3Q of 2015. Working as a CAD Engineer, supporting a major OEM's automotive projects, the position has wide scope across NA Branch and company headquarters (HQ) in Korea.

 

Relationships

  • Report to: Engineering Manager of ICS/Electrical Engineering.
  • Product/System: Automotive ICS(Integrated Center Stack), Center Display, etc.
  • Work and communicate with: Local Customer, Local team members, Research engineers from Korea and/or in Korea - Your project(s) may accompany HQ research engineers remotely or on your business site.
  • Consult with Expatriate coordinator to enhance communication with R&D HQ.

 

Job Description

  • Support mechanical product design and development and OEM automotive subsystems.
  • Support all STEP release and upload 2D and 3D drawings for Chrysler and support OEM development stage events based on product development timing.
  • Act as Liaison Mechanical CAD Engineer and coordinate with MOBIS HQ and OEM for concept design thru final design requirements, including design review / changes and feasibility reviews.
  • Control and support mechanical engineering data/documents delivery between OEM and MOBIS HQ.
  • Work on site at MNA and also frequently offsite at OEM facilities.

 

 

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • About 5+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electronics CAD design.
  • Proficient in using CAD system (UG (latest version ) and CATIA V5)
  • Self-starter, motivated, with listening, communication, and problem solving skills.
          
        

Preferred 

  • Previous automotive engineering experience at OEM or Tier 1 Supplier.
  • OEM resident experience.
  • OEM Team center using experience.
  • International joint work experience.
